Akhbar Al Youm Al Maghribiya
Akhbar Al Youm Al Maghribiya is a daily newspaper that was created in March 2009 as Akhbar Al Youm. As of 2016, this paper drawn at an average of 28 345 copies with daily purchases averaging 14 624 copies, making it the 4th daily newspaper of the country. It is owned and edited by Média 21, under the direction of well-known journalist Taoufik Bouachrine, who is also this outlet’s founder and editor-in-chief. It was created after founder Bouachrine left the publication he had previously founded, the Arabic-language daily Al Massae, and has built a faithful base due to the popularity of Bouachrine’s columns.
In 2009, following a trial instigated by the King’s cousin Moulay Ismail after a caricature of him was published, the paper had to shut down. It restarted alter the same year under its current name Akhbar Al Youm Al Maghribiya.
